What do I do if my dress isn't right when it arrives?

Updated over a month ago

What if a dress doesn't fit?

Provided the listing is 100% accurate in terms of sizing and the lender has answered any questions regarding fit honestly and to the best of their ability, we will be unable to offer refunds for dresses that do not fit as desired.

If the listing size was incorrect what do I do next?

If the listing size was incorrect, first reach out to the Lender of your item to inform them of the issue. The Lender may be able to provide a solution such as an alternative dress or the same item in the correct size.

If you do not hear from the Lender by the next morning, post the item back to them using the provided return satchel. At this point, please contact us via Live Chat to inform us of the issue so we can escalate it with the Lender on your behalf and find a solution or issue a refund as necessary.

What if my dress arrives crinkled?

Our lenders take incredible care when packing their designer items to send. However, some fabrics are naturally more prone to creasing than others. If you receive a dress with some creasing:

  1. Hand the article in a steamy bathroom as this will naturally remove crinkles

  2. DO NOT iron, steam or send the dress to dry cleaning

  3. Contact the Lender regarding your dress and ask what care steps you can take

Should you wish to return the dress, you must first liaise with your lender to get approval for a refund. If the lender does not wish to refund the hire at the last minute, they are within their right and The Volte Terms of Service to refuse to do so.

What if my dress is too long?

If a dress falls below your feet, it is your responsibility to make sure that the dress does not become damaged throughout the hire. Alterations are strictly prohibited. Excessive staining and avoidable damage will result in further charges at the Borrowers cost.
